The craftspeople on the Isle of Harris, on the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, weave - by hand - what I believe to be the most beautiful fabric in the world. In accordance with a 1993 Act of Parliament, Harris Tweed must be “Handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides.” The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes in to weaving each individual fabric is absolutely astounding. Makes me want a proper dram just thinking about it.
For more information on these amazing craftspeople check out the Harris Tweed Authority.
Based on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland (but with roots in MA!) the fine folks at Aulson Inlay create some of the finest inlay work you have ever seen, while working with some of the biggest names in the industry - from C.F. Martin to Paul Reed Smith.
We've paired with Aulson to create a mother of pearl inlay version of our standard metal name badge. This badge inlay, or anything else you can dream up, can be inlaid in the front panel wood of your custom amplifier.
